Principle Six calls for us to evaluate all our relationships and to offer forgiveness to those who have hurt us and make amends for harm we’ve done to others, except when doing so would injure them or others
As we set out to mend relationships there may be some things that are beyond our control. Not everyone will accept us with open arms. This may leave us feeling dejected, stuck again with negative feelings that continue to stunt our recovery growth.
Jesus tells us to love our enemies, do good to them and we will be rewarded from heaven.
We don’t need to be controlled any longer by the negative influences of others. we are on the ‘Road to Recovery.’ Paving a new way of living and we have The Lord on our side. Our choice to forgive people, no matter how they react and to do good will eventually result in a change of how we feel.
