Taking responsibility for your choices and behavior in recovery

Growing up most of us kept secrets from our parents. When we, our friends or siblings did wrong, we didn’t don.. Even know we knew we were going to get caught we didn’t come come home and confess. We didn’t tell our parents things we thought were dangerous or were going to get us in trouble.

Psalm 69:5 says, “God, you know how foolish I am; my sins cannot be hidden from you.”  Recognizing, admitting and confessing our sin is essential in the  process of recovery. As is willingness to make amends and change or ways.

Forgiveness and restoration from God are directly linked to our openness to take responsibility for choices and behavior and do something about changing them.
