“I am a stranger on earth; do not hide your commands from me.” Psalm 119:19
The Bible is a map to guide us. Pointing out safe routes to travel, obstacles to avoid and or final destination. We must recognise ourselves as travellers here on earth.
We need to study God’s road map as we travel the ‘Road to Recovery.’ If we ignore His map we can wander aimlessly through life and risk finding God’s purpose for our lives here on earth.
“A man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2 Timothy 3:17
The Bible is basic recovery equipment. As we move ahead in recovery we must never forget our purpose – service to others. We study the Bible not simply to increase or knowledge but to know how to do God’s work in the world.
Knowledge of the Bible is useless unless it strengthens our faith and leads s to service.
